This morning, somehow my boy asked me whether I’m going to make any Christmas theme bento for him again since we have his Elmo box with us! I thought he won’t be asking about bento during his stay with grandpa & grandma as he has been ‘slaughtering’ grandma’s home cook food like no body’s business. I can see his cute round tummy just after 2 1/2 days here!
Ok, since he asked, will try to make him one. But seriously I don’t have many of the tools and essential things with me for bento-ing, and I just managed to dig out some sausages and artificial crab meat from grandma’s fridge.
Will do with what I have, a simple Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer again with just bun, sausages and artificial crab meat – the idea comes from Shoppingmum. But frankly, I think the raisin bun is a bit ugly with the dark brown colour and the wrinkles! LOL
I used the artificial crab meat for the Christmas hat & the red nose, seaweed for the mouth, chocolate for the eyes and sausages for the horn. If you realize, I actually didn’t pin all these things to the bun as I don’t have anything to pin them! So I just put them there, and ask my boy to eat them without closing the bento box!
By the way, I am at Starbuck writing this post (after a short conference call – still have to work though on holiday
), and guess what is the song currently playing? Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer! What a coincident!

Another great Rudolph … he got the wrinkles? Maybe he very tired during this Christmas season hahaha
Cute!! I like this. Add this to my list ; )
Lia Chen – Haha, maybe! Maybe I can use that to explain to my boy, who is asking me why the Rudolph has wrinkles
Carmen – Thanks!
