Today is the last day of the final term exam for my elder boy. JY is so excited about this not because of the exam is going to over soon but he is looking forward for the upcoming events after the exam.
There are lots of activities planned for them in the school – the year end party, the spring cleaning, the graduation & concert day etc. In fact tomorrow will be a public holiday over here to celebrate Deepavali, which means it will be a long weekend for us, hooray!
Today JY requested for the Scooby Doo tri-colour shape pasta again for his bento. As usual, I packed him a small amount of the furikake sprinkle in the cute elephant container to go with the pasta.
I also made him a pair of happy boys from quail eggs – the chubby one with his cap (who somehow reminds me of Russell, the cute 8-year-old Junior Wilderness Explorer from Disney-Pixar’s Up) and the skinny one with his party hat to celebrate the last day of the exam and also the coming long weekend! I just filled up the rest of the bento box with some pears to complete the snack meal.
I shall find a chance to make Russell in JY’s bento as he is one of JY’s favourite cartoon character. He is so cute isn’t he?
By the way, I wanted to take this chance to wish all our Indian friends a very Happy Deepavali and happy holiday to the rest! Wish everyone a great weekend too!
For those who submitted your entry(s) for the CSN Store Giveaway, I planned to draw the lucky winner over the long weekend so stay tune! Good luck to all!
